Visitors at Honour Village

Guy Atkins stopped off to visit us on his way from Australia to Singapore. Guy is the father of last year's Project Trust volunteer Emily Atkins.Guy and his family visited Emily last year and they did a great job of painting a numbered caterpillar on the KG wall outside. This time, Guy met with this year's volunteers, and with students, who were excited to hear news of Emily. Emily hopes to visit along with Chloe and Gillian in 2018.

Jo Bird Launches New Range of Drying Cabinets

Jo Bird & Co. Ltd have teamed up with Dutch technology firm Pronomar, to create an exciting new range of drying cabinets. Jo Bird's robust, high performance GRP cabinets combined with Pronomar's fast coupling system and virtually indestructible stainless steel fittings make for a formidable pairing. The resulting cabinets offer fast and reliable drying of essential work and safety wear in the most challenging of environmental conditions.

The highly efficient drying method uses warm-air conducted through continuous stainless steel tubes and via nozzles directly into the clothes. Offering maximum levels of hygiene, the drying system reduces staff illness and improves team moral whilst also prolonging the life of the equipment.

As with all Jo Bird GRP cabinets, the drying cabinets are made to order and can be customised precisely to your specification. We also offer fittings to dry re-breathers for training centres.

For further information on the Jo Bird drying cabinet range and to discuss your requirements please contact us.

The Magic of Motoring at Goodwood

Jo Bird & Co. were approached by Magic of Motoring with a very unique enquiry. The company specialise in building bespoke structures for motor racing events and were to recreate a fully operational, 1950's art deco filling station to appear at the Goodwood Revival on Lord March's famous Sussex estate. The filling station is designed to provide fuel to both aircraft and vehicles and requires three cabinets to house safety equipment.

Each of the cabinets were made using temporary moulds, their intricate curvatures proving a good test of our mould maker's skills. We achieved a wonderful finish and the overall look of the station was very well received. This now permanent feature of Goodwood also played a role in their Battle of Britain 75th anniversary commemorations.

We are very proud to have been invited to take part and extend our thanks to both the Goodwood Estate and Magic of Motoring.
